Dr. Goreti Rajendar

Dr. Rajendar, hailing from a small village in the Rajanna-Siricilla District of Telangana State, was born into a farming family. His educational journey took him through various districts in Telangana, culminating in a bachelor's degree from Osmania University and a master's degree in chemical sciences from Kakatiya University.  Upon qualifying for the CSIR, he joined Dr. J. S. Yadav's research group at IICT Hyderabad. In the initial two years, Dr. Rajendar contributed to several industrial projects before delving into the intricate realm of total synthesis of complex natural products. Here, he honed his skills in state-of-the-art multi-step synthesis techniques, developing a profound understanding of organic synthesis. In 2012, he embarked on a transformative experience by joining Prof. E. J. Corey's group at Harvard University. During his time there, Dr. Rajendar acquired critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and also learned the finer secrets of chemistry. In 2016, he commenced his independent career as a teacher and researcher at IISER-TVM, where he continues to inspire and contribute to the field of organic chemistry.
